Climate and Weather

The climate in Tunisia varies with the region and is divided between both Mediterranean in the North and African in the south. In the North, Tunisia has a typical mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters, when there is most rainfall. In this area of Tunisia the best periods to visit are spring and Autumn as the temperatures during mid summer often exceed 40c. Due to the Sahara the southern region experiences unpleasant summers with high humidity which makes the region avid and dry. The Desert region of Tunisia is always a few degrees higher than the rest.
